Ceramic Tile Floors, Counters, & Walls
Ceramic tile floors are a hard masonry product formed to various sizes and shapes, joined together by masonry grout. It is used in homes and businesses where traffic and wear are high. Ceramic tile floors are so desirable because they are extremely low maintenance and very resistant to abuse. There is a reason this is the only type of floor used in fast food restaurants.
Cleaning is a breeze with our special cleaning technique and is done without damaging the tile. During the last few years homes have added ceramic tile to the kitchen areas making it no longer restricted to just bathrooms. This has left some wondering how to maintain these floors and counters. The purpose of low maintenance is defeated by putting a high maintenance floor finish down. If the tile has a matte or dull finish it is easily maintained by a professional cleaning. If the tile has a high gloss finish, you should use a natural pH cleaner that dries film free, so the natural gloss can shine at its best. A light solution of vinegar (2 oz. per gal.) and glass cleaner (3 oz. per gal.) should do well for high gloss tile.
Unfortunately grout is not so easily cleaned. If your grout is black or dark in color it is easily cleaned and does not show dirt. But woe is to those that have to keep white grout clean. To really brighten the white, because grout is masonry, professional cleaning may be necessary.
